Finished another Chapter this afternoon

wrote for three hours continuing on from yesterday and joining from the previous scene. All emailed for typing up. Had to research what an Arsenal FC official mug looks like and who was a top player in 2001 as this info I needed to insert into this latest chapter, which has Almir back at Rolands flat for the very first time for a post work out coffee( note -no sex is involved yet!!)

  1. Who was top player in 2001? I'd hazard a guess at Thierry Henry or, perhaps, Dennis Bergkamp in his final days?

Ashley Cole may have been coming on at that point and perhaps you may have had the last hurrah of Tony Adams?

Make sure you put in plenty of references to Highbury -- as they're not there any more as I'm sure you know.

  2. Thanks for that tip about Arsenal FC nolonger being at Highbury..but in 2002 they still were...thats good specific period detail. What was the Highbury ground called - or was it just Highbury....this is a minor detail(the mug I mean) but it personalises the dialogue I've used to the character/s and Place(London)...

  3. It's only ever been known as Highbury so long as I've been interested in football. Some of it is still there I think (the Clock End) and has been converted into flats. I'm sure you can find a club website and look for player of the year type awards.

btw I've mentioned writers who like to dance (as in Tango) on my latest (very long) blog piece that argues why we should feature sex in our novels.
