Shocking indeed - and must admit glad I was out of town when it all kicked off. See no reason to revise my novel .it's very clearly positioned in 2002 , and for a reason. Hope your writing is progressing well Mike regards Bren Gosling
I'm pretty sure my plot will conclude way in advance of the horrific events of this week. So I won't need to change anything in the plot but there are subtle things, such as what point in time is the narrator telling the story from, that present secondary complications.
Bren Gosling is a new fiction writer based in Walthamstow. His short fiction has previously appeared in guywritersmagazine.org(October2008) and been read at Tales of the Decongested(May 2009 and October 2009) and published in Decongested Tales (10.09 and 11.09). He completed the Certificate in Novel Writing course at London City University in 2009/10. His first novel "Sweeping up the Village" has been short listed for the 2012 Harry Bowling Prize for new writers.
He is a member of Forest Writers Group.
Any revision of your novel in the light of events in London?
ReplyDeleteI think it definitely put a date on mine (pre-riots).
