yesterday evenning and edited it this morning. I have been looking at another blog - Aspiring Novelist Diary-"Sam" is doing a PhD route to her first novel. I was interested in her post about using the Grid template that Emma Darwin recommends as a tool for structuring a novel. I am going to utilise this I think to approach my redraft when I'm ready.

You might be extremely interested in the front page of today's Evening Standard:

Basically the gangs are Albanian Kosovans and the fighting was on Kosovan national day. So basically anyone in London today who looked at the front page of the Standard will have this influence their perceptions of Kosovans in London (alarmist journalism and so on).
I know your novel is set years before but there may be now some interest in linkage into the root causes of the current flare-up.
thanks Mike - will take a look at this later...wriTng today and trying to finish another new chapter in prep for my Wednesday skype tutorial with Emma.
ReplyDeleteHad a night off from tango as exhausted after a late night of dancing on Thursday /Friday and then on Friday a very diffuclt lesson - which nearly resulted in tango meltdown - I felt like throwing in the towel. But then I had a great moment at the end when the teacher let me follow and I just danced really well and naturally. It just flowed. Now all I want is for my writing to do the same!
